What is Americano Linea PVC

^{PVC American profile is a different name from European line PVC profile, also be named Americano Linea PVC, American Style PVC profiles. It is introduced from the design concept of European uPVC profile, transforming and innovating in combination with the characteristics of the local area. The design is light weight and very suitable for low-rise buildings,villa-style doors and windows. It is mainly popular in North America and Latin America and other regions so people usually call it American style uPVC profiles.}
 

 

Americano Linea PVC Features

The main features of PVC American profiles are: thin wall thickness, light weight, generally the thickness no more than 1.8mm; multiple cavities, a large number of internal stiffeners and chambers, frame and sash's cavity structure design is more complicated; thickness of internal and external is mostly same, and the external dimension span is larger; the window sash section is smaller.

The PVC American profile frame is designed with linear at the bottom, which can be directly installed into the wall hole. This can increase the overall connection strength and installation tightness of the window frame reducing the deformation problem during installation.

The PVC sliding sashes in the PVC American sliding window profile are usually composed of Fix sash and Move sash. The inner cavity design of these two sashes are mostly same and welding method is generally used. However, the two types of sliding sashes each have their own functions. Fix sash is equipped with a roller pulley at the bottom, which mainly plays the role of glass installation and sliding; Move sash is installed on a vertical column, and the profile design has one more side linear than the Fix sash, the main function is to facilitate pushing or lifting. In addition, it is a more user-friendly design to install a handle or a window lock directly on the sliding sash for easy opening.
 

Europe and Americano Linea

The difference between American and European linea is the structure of sliding windows.

The uPVC sliding sash of the European line window slides on the tracks of the PVC frame, that is, the sliding sash surrounding frame structure. Its seal is formed by the top of the inner side of the sliding sashes and the two sides of the guide rail. The sash of the American sliding window slides in the groove of the sliding frame (that is, the frame surrounding sash structure), and a separate guide rail can be installed in the groove, or it can slide directly on the bottom of the groove. The sealing of American windows is realized by the tops between the outer side of the sliding sash and the two sides of the groove. The tops can be installed on the sliding sashes or on the side wall of the groove on the sliding frame. Comparison of the two structures It can be seen that the latter one has better water and air tightness property. For this reason, people have made targeted improvements on European-style sliding windows-adding a sealing guide rail between the two sliding sashes to improve the watertight and air tightness of the entire window.

The sashes of European-style sliding windows are welded with the same profile. After welding, the shape of the whole sash is uniform and the shape is neat and tight. The sashes of American sliding windows are usually composed of two or more profiles which are either welded or screwed. Various sashes have their own functions. Some sashes directly design with the push-pull (or lift) handle on the top; some sashes directly design with the function of the cover plate, thereby eliminating the cover plate profile; for some sashes on the bottom there is a groove for installing the pulley.
